AGNES M. (FOSTER) JACOB, 99 of Levering, MI, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the home of her son and daughter in law, Tom and Sandra Foster. She was under the care of Hospice of Little Traverse for the passed few months.. She was born June 8, 1910 to Lonnie and Hattie (Walker) Harvey, the oldest of 10 children in Vaughn, West Virginia. She married Marcellus J. Foster on December 25, 1928. He preceded her in death when he was fatally wounded in France on August 12, 1944, during WWII. They had five children. Also preceding her in death were six brothers, her second husband, Armour F. Jacob, a son, Jack L. Foster, a daughter, Patricia A. Robison, three grandsons, Gary H. Robison, Joseph E. Robison, Dennis E. Morgan, a great grandson, John F. Robison, Jr. and two son in laws, Herbert Robison and Clark W. Powers. Her survivors include two daughters, Betty J. Powers of Levering, MI, Norma J. (Gary) Sears of Britton, MI, a son, Thomas A. (Sandra) Foster of Levering, MI, two sisters, MaryLou Hoover of Phoenix, Arizona, June (Don) Leonard of Adrian, MI, one brother, Ben (Doris) Harvey of Gahanna, OH, eight grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren. Also many nieces and nephews. At Agnes�s request there will be no public viewing or visitation. There will be a private service for immediate family only at 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, MI, with Pastor Calvin Alderink officiating. Private burial will take place in Hillside Cemetery in Addison. Memorials may be sent to any Humans Society of the donor's choice, as this was Agnes's favorite organization and she had been a member for many years.
