WILLIAM A. RUDER, age 72 of Wheatland Township, North Adams, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian.
He was born on February 2, 1937 in Wheatland Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan to George E. and S. Loneita. (Reeves) Ruder. He married Teresa L. Jones on July 11, 1964 in Jasper, Michigan, and she survives.
Bill lived his early life in Wheatland Township, before living in Hudson for 11 years, and then he moved back to Wheatland Township in 1976. He attended Addison School, he then was a veteran, serving in the United States Army. Bill was employed at M&S Manufacturing in Hudson for 40 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Fly Wheelers Antique Tractor Club of Ft. Myers, Florida. He was an avid deer hunter.
Surviving besides his wife Teresa are three daughters, Lucinda (Dave) Davenport of Lake City, MI, Kimberly Ruder of Hillsdale, Teri (Mark) Foley of Livonia, one son, William (Brandy) Ruder of North Adams, seven grandchildren, four sisters, Barbara Newton of Waldron, Willodean (John) Scott of Clayton, Janice (Philip) Wilson of Hillsdale, Thelma (Richard) Hess of North Adams, several nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 18, 2010 at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Rev. Clyde L. Wonders officiating. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday. Cremation will follow the service.
Full Military Rites will be performed by Hannan-Colvin Post #180 American Legion, Hudson, MI.
