TERRY R. ADAMS, age 63 of Cement City, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Bixby Medical Center in Adrian. He was born on December 28, 1946 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Robert A. and Marjorie (Jewell) Adams, Jr. He married Carol Jo Kelley on May 27, 1967 in Cement City, and she survives. Terry was raised in Jonesville be fore moving to the Cement City area in 1977. He graduated from Jonesville High School in 1967. He then attended Jackson Business College and Cleary College. Terry was a Viet Nam veteran serving in the United States Army. He was employed at Ford Motor Company in Saline, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Wilber-Barlett Post #315 American Legion, Brooklyn, Michigan, member of 3689 Fraternal Order of Eagles of Brooklyn, member of the U.A.W. Local 892 in Saline. Terry was an avid bowler, where he was on leagues at Brooklyn and at the Lenawee Rec. He was also an avid reader. Surviving besides his wife Carol are one son, Brian (Rochelle) Adams of Tecumseh, two daughters, Kelli (Kurt) Reichert of Macomb Twp, MI, Kristen (Paris) Anderson of Jackson, nine grandchildren, his mother, Marjorie Adams of Jonesville, one sister, Bobbie (Marlon) Reed of Hillsdale, one aunt, Dorothy Broughton of Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father and one grandson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Pastor Drew Woods officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2010. Full Military Rites performed by the Wilber-Barlett Post #315 American Legion, Brooklyn, Michigan. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or to the donor's choice.
