ANNA T. JANIK, age 95 years of Hudson, formerly of St. Clair Shores, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in Osseo. She was born on June 11, 1914 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Andrew and Catherine (Ramon) Turczin. Anna married Stanley T. Janik on August 29, 1936. He preceded her in death on November 20, 1987. She worked at Chrysler for 37 years, retiring in 1975. Anna was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson. Anna dearly loved her family and will be sadly missed by all.
Anna is survived by two sons, Thomas (Maureen) Janik of Hudson and Frank (Esther) Janik of Clayton, three grand children, Debbie (Steve) Kerr of Hudson, Anna Janik of Hudson and Thomas (Alissa) Janik, Jr. of Osseo, eight great grand children, four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother, John Turczin, and sisters, Mary Packard and Pauline Fish.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hudson with Rev. Fr. Richard Eberle officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Hudson. Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2010 from 5-7 P.M. at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with a Scripture Prayer Service at 6:00 P.M. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Church.
