Dear Aunt Ann,

Thank you for all the wonderful memories. You were such a generous person. I remember coming to your home and you cooking up a batch of something wonderful! The legacy of home cooking - inspired by you and Grandma Mary - lives on in our family cooking competition entitled "Knoshfest."

In addition, you and Grandma Mary were real woman liberators in the sense that you never gave up.....you were always working and looking out for your family. You never stopped learning or growing.

In my mind, I visualize Grandma Mary mending the gown of Jesus. Now, I visualize you cooking up perogies for the celestial city!

We will miss you!

Aunt Anna -
I will always have fond memories of you and Great Grandma telling your stories. You always brought smiles to everyone in your presence. You are in a better place now, reunited with more people that love you. I wish you would have had the chance to meet Taylor, Dylan and Madison. They are too young to know you, but your stories will live on. Our family will miss you. You will have a place in our hearts forever. As Aunt Pug said... we are sad you've passed on, but you're still here -- in memories, menus and the many ways you made us who we are today. We will see you someday again but until we do, you will live in our hearts forever.

Dear Aunt Anna,

When I was a kid, you'd slip me a few bucks -- here I thought it was "our little secret" and I was your favorite. Come to find out you were just as generous with everyone else. You were more than "Chuchi Ann" -- you were our"Cha-Ching Ann." Your kindness created a legacy of love and surprises for my nieces and nephew, who now receive random checks from their Aunt "Cha-Ching Barb."

You fed our families with Ukranian dishes, deserts (cream puffs and the ever popular fruitcakes), baked breads and candy wreaths. Your warm influence lives on in candy wreaths I make during Christmas. I once thought Grandma Mary made the wreaths; come to find out you made them; Grandma Mary just delivered them. Skunked again, but you always loved a good joke!

While I'm sad you've passed on, you're still here -- in memories, menus and the many ways you made us who we are today.

I love you,

Barbara
