The first year that Duane and I were in school together (6th grade?), he reported to his Mom that a girl shared his birthday. Yes, that was me, and it created a friendship I will never forget. Duane was a very special guy and I'm sorry I didn't get to see him much after high school. My first official date was when we went to see "Ben Hur" at the Brooklyn movie theater (yes, that long ago). I will miss knowing he's "back home" in Michigan. Be at peace, Duane.
